Partner Organizations |
 The
Baxter Community Center is a ministry center located in
inner-city Grand Rapids. The Center meets the needs of
low-income families by offering health care service, day care
services, food, clothing, and educational, mentorship, and
recreational opportunities. The center's programs
assist individuals to become responsible,
productive, and self-sufficient while affirming positive
qualities in individuals and the community. |
 Safe
Haven Ministries is a Christian organization in Grand Rapids that
provides support to victims of domestic abuse and their children.
Safe Haven operates Ramoth House, an emergency shelter that houses
abused women and their children. Additionally, Safe Haven provides
support groups and counseling through their Protective Hands Program
and educates the community about abuse through its Raise Hope
program. |
Volunteers in Service is an organization that connects hurting
people in the Grand Rapids area with caring churches who can help
withlong term needs of these people. As part of this mission, VIS also works
to educate and equip churches in their calling to help those who are
in need. |
 Mission
India is different from many mission organizations in that it does
not send missionaries. Instead, Mission India focuses on equipping
Indian Christians to spread the gospel throughout their native land.
Mission India's programs include Children's Bible Clubs, Adult
Literacy Classes, and Church Planter Training. |
 Partners
Worldwide is an international partnership of business people that
are
striving to help eliminate poverty in places of need. To do this,
they run programs to help grow businesses and improve economics in
these places. They create business partnerships, provide mentoring
and training, provide access to capital, and advocate on behalf of
the poor. |
 The
mission of Friendship Ministries is to share God’s love with
people who have cognitive impairments and to enable them to
become an active part of God’s family. Friendship achieves this
goal by equipping churches to start ministries with these people
so that they might help them truly be a part of a God's family. |
 The
Crossroad Bible Institute exists to bring the hope of God's
truth to incarcerated persons in North America and beyond. They
do this by providing faith based re-entry education and helping
churches bring God's hope to prisoners. |
 Dégagé
Ministries, located in inner-city Grand Rapids' Heartside area,
provides a Christian alternative to the streets for Grand Rapids'
homeless population. They provide low cost meals and offer pne-on-one
programs that show God's love to an often ignored group of people. |
 The
Inner City Christian Federation is a Christian organization that
does transformational work in the community to provide housing
opportunities and services that help encourage independence and
responsibility. ICCF offers emergency housing and home rental
and ownership opportunities. As part of its mission, ICCF
undertakes several home construction projects each year.
Throughout the year, PHCRC members take part in many of these
construction projects. |
 Kids
Hope USA's motto is One Child, One Hour, One Church, One School. The
organization equips churches to connect with neighborhood schools to
provide opportunities for church members to mentor at risk school
children. Our church members take part in mentoring children each
week at the nearby Mulick Park Elementary School. |
