Could
it have turned out any other way? With plenty of IBC root beer, bags
of tantalizing candy, and signs that would make any presidential
politician proud, Al Moll successfully defended his title
in Plymouth Heights' 2nd Annual Chili Cook-Off!
While Al may have won
the competition, we are thankful for all who participated in this
year’s Chili Cook Off! Bob Brouwer took second place and Molly
Tiesenga came in third with their chili entries. A special thank you
goes to Deb Knott for coordinating the whole evening again this
year.
During
the night over 100 people came out to support our youth group by
enjoying some of the 18 different chilis that were prepared for the
evening. The diversity of chilis ranged from chicken to a sweet and
spicy to a vegetarian, and even included a chocolate chili. Beyond
the $800.00 that was raised for the youth group’s summer trips, the
night was marked by a lot of laughter throughout the community room.
Thank you to all who came out to share a bowl (or several bowls) of
chili with us! Your support is appreciated! |
