As a member, I commit to pray for the global extension of God's kingdom and to a lifestyle which calls others to Jesus Christ.
As a community, we will support and participate in the proclamation of God's Word and the creation of Christ's community locally and around the world.

The gym is open for 5-on-5 basketball most Tuesday evenings. We have anywhere from 15-30 players each week, most live in the neighborhood around church. More players and spectators are always welcome as we build relationships with those who come out to play.

A dynamic relational ministry connecting people with cognitive impairments and their families to the broader church community, while facilitating faith development through worship, education, and social opportunities.

Currently, we have two summer outreach ministries. The first is hosting a Youth Unlimited SERVE project. For the past seven summers, we have welcomed between 60-110 people to our church to spend a week serving people in the Grand Rapids area and growing in relationship with Jesus Christ. We anticipate hosting SERVE again in the summer of 2010.
Kids Night Out is our other summer outreach. This community celebration will take place on August 25th from 5-8 pm, with lots of animals, games, and food. The purpose of the evening is for church and community simply to have fun getting to know each other in a relaxed setting.
Plymouth Heights will be facilitating our next mobile food pantry event with registration starting at 8 a.m. on Saturday July 24. These events are sponsored by Feeding America of West Michigan, formerly known as West Michigan Gleaners. We will be distributing 5 tons of perishable food to anywhere from 75-150 families. Each event will require about 50 volunteers from our community each Saturday morning to help with distribution, carrying goods to cars, registration, hosting. These events will not only assist those in our community who are struggling and in need of assistance, but also provide an opportunity for us to come alongside our neighbors, to listen and to create opportunities for engagement.
Registration to receive food will be from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m., and food distribution will take place from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m.
Plymouth Heights hosts blood drives in cooperation with the Grand Valley Blood Center every eight weeks. In 2010, blood drives are scheduled from 2-7 pm on February 15, April 19, June 21, and August 16. The schedule for the remainder of the year will be determined in August or September.
Our neighborhood prayer walks will take place on the third Saturday of each month during 2010, from 10:30-Noon. Anyone is welcome to participate. Contact Phillip Westra at the church office with questions: 616-243-5638.
